About Us
Gerald Bumgardner and Guy Flasher combined more than 40 years’ experience in the home heating industry when they formed Bumgardner & Flasher Oil on August 16, 1989.
Starting with one truck and working from desks at their homes, the men steadily grew their business to become one of the top oilheat delivery services in the Huntingdon County area.
Following Guy’s retirement in 1995, Darlene Bumgardner and Brad Bumgardner joined the company as officers. That same year the company opened an office in Mount Union, subsequently moving to a larger facility along Route 522 in 2000. Guy passed away in 2003 and Gerald in 2008.
In October 2010, Bumgardner & Flasher Oil, Inc. completed the purchase of Thousand Hills Petroleum, Inc., Huntingdon.
In the 20 years since that first fuel delivery, the company has stuck to the basic business principle of its two founders: treat each customer as an individual, not just a number.
